Welcome to the Mid-Gulf Coast Chapter of the Florida
State Society of Medical Assistants.
Our chapter, FL 038, includes Manatee, Sarasota, Desoto and Hardee counties. We welcome all CMA’s to come and experience an opportunity to network and learn. We provide seminars to help obtain your continuing education credits that are required for recertification for the AAMA. Our Chapter meets several times a year. We know what members need regarding their educational, communication and career opportunity in today’s ever changing world and will continue to help implement plans to meet those needs. Please see our calendar for the schedule of meetings/seminars for educational opportunities. *Keep in mind you will need 10 administrative, 10 clinical, 10 general credits and 30 of your choosing for recertification. And don’t forget to update your CPR recertification which can be included in the last category. *Please note per the AAMA Certifying Board current provider level CPR certification is no longer a necessary component for CMA (AAMA) recertification. (Please check our meeting schedule as CPR recertification may be included in one of our programs.)
